



Introduction:-
Creative Womens Welfare Society (CWWS) is a non-profit social organisation registered in 2006 in the District Administration Office in Bhaktapur. To give further legal existence, CWWS got affilated to Social Welfare Council too.
Objectives:-
- Womens Empowerment through skill development, awareness and advocacy.
- To fight against the contemporary issues like girls trafficking, HIV AIDS and gender descrimination.
- To work for safe motherhood.
- To work for the welfare of children.
- To work for the protection of the environment.
Mission:-
To improve the living standard of the vulnerable and disadvantaged womens and children through education and empowerment.
Vision:-
CWWS wants to be that organisation which could address issues of children and women. CWWS wishes to be the "friend of disadvantaged and vulnerable women and children".
Programmes:- CWWS has been implementing various projects in the local community of the Bhaktapur district. They are:-
- Waste Management Training:- CWWS with the help of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, organised waste management training in 2006. Target group of ward no. 9 and 12 and 15 of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality were trained to manage dispossable and non-dispossable waste. From dispossable waste, target group has started to make organic fertilizer and from non-dispossable one, they have successfully made various handicrafts and fancy items. Some of the non-dispossable rubbish which can not be either recycled, reused, has been managed with the help of municipality.
- Purified Water Filter (made up of Mud):- CWWS launched Purified Water Filter (made up of Mud) to make people aware of the drinking safe water to get rid of many vulnerable diseases caused by contaminated water. This project was funded by the US INGO, "Solution Benefiting Life". Now target group has started using new locally made filter which is cheap, reliable and provides safe water through its "Collideral Silver technology". This is the a project which aims to mobilise indegeneous technology and material.
